Join John Grandage for in-depth guided thematic tours of the museum and conversation about topics in American history and historic preservation.

  • American Archives Month, October 2025 dates TBD.

    Tour focuses on how archival materials help interpret historic sites like The Grove Museum.

  • Native American Heritage Month, November 2025 dates TBD.

    Tour highlights the influence of Native peoples on the history and culture of the Red Hills Region, with a focus on the period between before the Seminole Wars.

  • Black History Month, February 2026 dates TBD.

    Tour focuses on Black history in the context of Tallahassee and Florida.

  • Spring Nature Walks, April 2026 dates TBD.

    Guided grounds tour focusing on native plants, historic landscape management, and unique features of The Grove.

  • Historic Preservation Month, May 2026 dates TBD.

    Tour focuses on innovative historic preservation approaches used in the award-winning Call-Collins House project. Tour consists of a guided walk both inside and outside the Call-Collins House, with stops along the way to examine architectural features.

  • Emancipation Day, May 20, 2026. Offered at 2:00 p.m.

    Tour focuses on Emancipation in the context of Tallahassee, The Grove, and broader themes in American history and historic preservation. Tour consists of a guided walk both inside and outside the Call-Collins House, with stops along the way to examine architectural features and reproductions of documents from the State Archives..

All of the above listed Thematic Tours are FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Guests should wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to stand or walk, indoors and outdoors, for the majority of the program.

Wednesday - Saturday: House tours on the hour starting at 10 a.m. Last tour is at 3 p.m.

Closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday

Group Tours: Tours for groups of ten (10) or more are available at $1.00 per guest. For group tours, please contact the museum in advance to make arrangements.
